In Memory Of Willie Maddox
|
|
Willie
understood the best things in life were also the most basic things in life; God
- Family - Friends |
We had grown up
together and had lost touch many years ago. Alan and I had just
moved to Bunkie the year before and lived in the old Mantiply house
on the Corn Festival site. It was there that Willie walked up to
see me and brought along his beautiful wife, Cynthia. That was the
first of many visits over the last 9 years. I had so much
admiration and respect for him and will never forget him. He loved
his God, his wife and sons, his other family, his many friends, and
www.Bunkie.com!
He was an inspiration
to me and I am going to miss his visits and emails. I can only
imagine the welcome he must have received in Heaven, as he was truly
a genuine, devoted and humble servant of God and man. Goodbye,
Cool Willie..........

Hello,
my name is Gervey Smith. I too came to know Willie Maddox again
through the bunkie.com and of course the BHS 50's Reunion of 2005.
Willie was sincere and friendly. I will never forget him -------I
think of him often...
